See Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece live; Eugene Onegin is coming to the Met Opera

Beginning on April 20, 2026 and continuing on select dates throughout the spring season, the Metropolitan Opera will be performing Eugene Onegin. Get tickets now to see this gorgeous new production. This, Tchaikovsky’s most beloved opera, was based on the Pushkin poem by the same name and is featured heavily in my novel, Fate.

For those who prefer ballet to opera, I am excited to add that the month of June (in NYC) brings another treat to music lovers with American Ballet Theatre’s presentation of the full-length Cranko ballet of the same story. The Eugene Onegin ballet is danced to a creative montage of the composer’s music, as it was never a composed as a set ballet by Tchaikovsky. I urge all of my ballet-loving readers (and everyone else as well!) to grab tickets for the evening performances on June 23 or June 27, 2026 to see Jake Roxander as Lensky.

Mr. Roxander’s brilliant dancing is one of the best reasons to attend ABT’s summer season at the Metropolitan Opera House. It should be noted that he will also dance, for the first time, the leading role in Marius Petipa’s Don Quixote, with music by Ludwig Minkus on July 3rd. It will definitely be a night to remember.

See you there, Adin Dalton
